If you own any real estate, have personal property or money in a bank, you should consult an attorney at least every five to ten years to make sure you comply with current Federal and State laws.
Wills and trusts are legal instruments used to manage and distribute a deceased person's assets. A will becomes valid only when its creator dies, and it is up to the executor--named by the creator of the will--to distribute the property in accordance with the terms of the will or trust.
When a person dies, it may be necessary to obtain court approval to determine how much is paid to creditors, taxes and expenses and who will receive a share of what is left over. The court process is know as probating the estate. It is our goal to advise you on a plan that helps you set up direct transfer of most assets to your heirs and beneficiaries possibly avoiding probate altogether.
If you or a family have been injured or your property has been damaged by the negligence of a person or company you may be entitled to compensation. Our firm does not charge for evaluating a potential personal injury claim or a damaged property claim.
If we agree to go forward with your claim for personal injury, wrongful death or property damage, we will enter into an agreement that the attorney fees and expenses will be paid out of the recovery on your claims. If there is no recovery there will be no attorney fee.
Insurance law is the practice of law surrounding insurance, including insurance policies and claims. It can be broadly broken into three categories - regulation of the business of insurance; regulation of the content of insurance policies, especially with regard to consumer policies; and regulation of claim handling.
